I had Jordy and Lacie from Baton Rouge on the boat. The white trout bite was slow so i was throwing croakers in the live well. Once i had a dozen in there I asked them if they wanted to make a bumpy ride out to look for some big trout at the island, figuring a dozen croaker would last us a hour or more. Boy was I wrong!!! We pulled up to my spot. And no sooner did the first croaker hit the water Jordy had a fine trout peeling drag. When it hit the deck and after the high fives, he told me that was his personal best trout. So we went back to work and in 30 short minutes we turned a dozen croakers into 10 trout with the smallest being 17”.
